They will be able to choose selections from Blues, Ragtime or Jazz only. (This includes raggin’ the classics, Novelty Piano, Swing, Honky Tonk, Boogie Woogie, Stride.) The festival is open to all ages. Recitals are typically about 45 minutes in length, (but may vary depending on scheduling needs.) There will be a printed program for each recital. Teachers should have students listen to recordings of these musical styles in order to familiarize themselves with how they should be played. A list of selections will be available to teachers upon request. Depending on response, there may need to be a deadline number for entrants. Rules: 1. Submit one application online for each requested time slot. Collect fees from parents and write only one check payable to LVMTA. Send to: Yvonne Cloutier, 2621 Memphis Av, Henderson, NV 89052 2.
